The beginnings of UNIVERZAL’s work are associated to the bookshop-stationer called “Plavi Čuperak”, founded in 1987.

One of the first private bookshops on the territory of former Yugoslavia, founded by the family Kekić, was famous for its work and product range among the citizens of Novi Sad.

The bookshop “Plavi Čuperak” conducted its business very successfully until April 1992 when the company UNIVERZAL was founded and registered, the main activity of the company being the wholesale of office and school supplies, fancy office supplies, toys.

In 2001, UNIVERZAL moved into a new, modern business facility in Novi Sad, with the area of 2000 m2, and increased its rolling park.

By moving into the new facility, UNIVERZAL provided its customers and business partners with new conveniences related to purchasing the goods. Due to the sales place in Belgrade and the warehouse with the area of 3000 m2, UNIVERZAL has become the leader in its business.
